Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam and has Chinese ancestry while Winston Barrett Munn's family has roots that go back to the American South. Her parents divorced when she was just the age of two. The mother of Olivia raised her along with her stepfather, who is an United States Air Force officer. Although the family was spread across the country, her primary place of residence is Tokyo, Japan. During that time she was involved in many local productions of theater as well as becoming a Japanese Fashion model. Olivia moved from Japan to Los Angeles when her family eventually came back to the United States to follow her aspirations of becoming an actress. Then, after some tiny roles on television series with Hawaii lenses (such like Beyond the Break), she won the role Mily Acuna and landed the job of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan. The show's host is "The Daily Nut", "Formula D" and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she has continued to surf. She also holds Black Belt in Taekwondo. In the year 2000, when she turned two years of age, her mom remarried. Though the family had moved many times, the bulk of her existence was in Tokyo Japan in Japan, which is the area that her stepfather was employed by the military. The university she attended was the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in journalism. She also minored in Japanese and dramatic arts.
