Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is a popular American cook book author for a number of years. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina started her career at the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policy documents and also the budget. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual stimulation of the job, but soon stopped her enthusiasm. Instead, she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. After 18 years of making her business a massive success, she sold it, and then began writing her first book. There were many more cookbooks, and magazines columnists that were added. In the meantime, her Food Network television show too began its run and was an instant hit. Ina sells a variety of items, from the ingredients needed for cooking, to kitchenware and storage. Ina, who is self-taught, has never studied at the culinary institute or at an establishment. Her relaxed approach to entertaining and her straightforward culinary style is widely known. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet - Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and Cheese, Mac and Beef Bourguignon. cheese with Beatty's Chocolate Cake as well as Lemon Bars.
